Ingredients

  • Ground pork - 300 grams
  • Garlic cloves - 2, minced
  • Onion - 1 small, finely chopped
  • Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Fresh cilantro - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Paprika - 1 teaspoon
  • Cumin - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Cheese (optional) - 50 grams, sliced
  • Lettuce leaves - 4, for wrapping
  • Tomato - 1, sliced
  • Avocado - 1, sliced

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the ground pork, minced garlic, chopped onion, parsley, cilantro, paprika, cumin, salt, and black pepper. Mix thoroughly until well combined.
  2. Divide the mixture into two equal portions and shape each into a patty approximately 2 cm thick.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the pork patties and cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until the internal temperature reaches 70°C.
  4. If using cheese, place a slice on each patty during the last minute of cooking to allow it to melt.
  5. Once cooked, remove the patties from the skillet and let them rest for a couple of minutes.
  6. To serve, place each patty on a lettuce leaf, top with sliced tomato and avocado, and wrap the lettuce around the burger. Enjoy!
