- Heart of palm - 200 grams, finely chopped
- Almond flour - 50 grams
- Egg - 1 large
- Garlic powder - 1 teaspoon
- Onion powder - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons, for cooking
- Lettuce leaves - 4, for serving
- Tomato - 1 medium, sliced
- Avocado - 1 small, sliced
Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine the finely chopped heart of palm, almond flour, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and chopped parsley. Mix until well combined.
- Form the mixture into two equal burger patties.
- Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the burger patties and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through.
- Remove the patties from the skillet and let them rest for a couple of minutes.
- To assemble, place each burger patty on a lettuce leaf, top with tomato and avocado slices, and add another lettuce leaf on top for a bun-like effect.
