Ingredients

  • Ground beef (80% lean) - 300 grams
  • Coconut milk - 60 ml
  • Red bell pepper - 1, diced
  • Onion - 1 small, finely chopped
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Fresh cilantro - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Lime juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Sea salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Cayenne pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Coconut flour - 2 tablespoons

Steps

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, coconut milk, diced red bell pepper, chopped onion, minced garlic, cilantro, lime juice, salt, black pepper, cayenne pepper, and coconut flour. Mix until well combined.
  2. Divide the mixture into two equal portions and shape them into burger patties.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the burger patties and cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness.
  4. Remove the patties from the skillet and let them rest for a couple of minutes.
  5. Serve the burgers on lettuce wraps or with grilled vegetables, garnished with extra cilantro and lime wedges if desired.
