Ingredients

  • Shrimp - 200 grams, peeled and deveined
  • White fish fillet (like cod) - 150 grams, chopped
  • Egg - 1 large
  • Almond flour - 50 grams
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Chives - 2 tablespoons, finely chopped
  • Parsley - 2 tablespoons, finely chopped
  • Lemon zest - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons, for frying
  • Lettuce leaves - 4 large, for serving
  • Avocado - 1, sliced, for topping

Steps

  1. In a food processor, combine the shrimp, chopped fish, garlic, chives, parsley, lemon zest, salt, and black pepper. Pulse until the mixture is well combined but still has some texture.
  2. Transfer the mixture to a bowl and add the egg and almond flour. Mix until thoroughly combined.
  3. Form the mixture into two burger patties, approximately 1.5 cm thick.
  4. Heat olive oil in a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the patties and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through.
  5. Remove the patties from the skillet and let them rest for a minute.
  6. To serve, place each patty on a large lettuce leaf and top with avocado slices. Optionally, add any additional toppings of your choice.
