- Whole grain burger buns - 2
- Lettuce - 2 leaves
- Tomato - 1 (sliced)
- Avocado - 1/2 (sliced)
Steps
- In a large bowl, combine the mashed black beans, rolled oats, chopped onion, minced garlic, cilantro, cumin, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
- Divide the mixture into two equal portions and shape each portion into a patty.
- Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the patties and cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until they are golden brown and heated through.
