  • Sweet potato - 200 grams
  • Ground beef (or turkey) - 250 grams
  • Green onion - 2 stalks, finely chopped
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Cilantro - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Egg - 1 large
  • Almond flour - 2 tablespoons
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Lettuce leaves - 2 large
  • Tomato - 1 medium, sliced
  • Avocado - 1/2, sliced

Steps

  1. Peel and chop the sweet potato into small cubes, then boil them in salted water for about 10-15 minutes until tender.
  2. Drain the sweet potatoes and mash them in a bowl until smooth. Let it cool slightly.
  3. In a separate bowl, combine the ground beef, green onion, garlic, cilantro, egg, almond flour, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
  4. Add the mashed sweet potato to the beef mixture and mix until everything is incorporated.
  5. Form the mixture into two patties.
  6. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the patties for about 5-6 minutes on each side or until they are cooked through and have a nice crust.
  7. Remove the patties from the skillet and let them rest for a couple of minutes.
  8. To assemble, place each patty on a lettuce leaf, top with tomato slices and avocado. Serve immediately.
