- Sweet potato - 200 grams
- Ground beef (or turkey) - 250 grams
- Green onion - 2 stalks, finely chopped
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Cilantro - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Egg - 1 large
- Almond flour - 2 tablespoons
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
- Lettuce leaves - 2 large
- Tomato - 1 medium, sliced
- Avocado - 1/2, sliced
Steps
- Peel and chop the sweet potato into small cubes, then boil them in salted water for about 10-15 minutes until tender.
- Drain the sweet potatoes and mash them in a bowl until smooth. Let it cool slightly.
- In a separate bowl, combine the ground beef, green onion, garlic, cilantro, egg, almond flour, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Add the mashed sweet potato to the beef mixture and mix until everything is incorporated.
- Form the mixture into two patties.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the patties for about 5-6 minutes on each side or until they are cooked through and have a nice crust.
- Remove the patties from the skillet and let them rest for a couple of minutes.
- To assemble, place each patty on a lettuce leaf, top with tomato slices and avocado. Serve immediately.
