  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Cilantro - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Cumin powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Paprika - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Burger buns - 2
  • Lettuce - 2 leaves
  • Tomato - 1 medium, sliced
  • Avocado - 1/2, sliced

Steps

  1. Peel and chop the potatoes into chunks, then boil them in salted water for about 15 minutes or until tender.
  2. Drain the potatoes and mash them in a bowl until smooth.
  3. In a skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, sautéing until soft and translucent, about 5 minutes.
  4. Add the sautéed onion and garlic to the mashed potatoes along with cilantro, chickpea flour, cumin, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until combined.
  5. Form the potato mixture into 2 equal-sized patties.

  7. Meanwhile, toast the burger buns in a separate pan or under a broiler until lightly browned.
  8. Assemble the burgers by placing a potato patty on each bun, topping with lettuce, tomato, and avocado slices.
