Ingredients

  • Top sirloin beef - 400 grams
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Onion - 1 small, finely chopped
  • Paprika - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Burger buns - 2
  • Cheddar cheese - 2 slices
  • Lettuce - 2 leaves
  • Tomato - 1 medium, sliced
  • Pickles - 4 slices

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the top sirloin beef, minced garlic, chopped onion, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix gently until just combined.
  2. Divide the mixture into two equal portions and shape them into patties, about 2 cm thick.
  3. Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the burger patties and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side for medium doneness, or until they reach your desired doneness.
  4. During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty to melt.
  5. Toast the burger buns in the skillet for about 1-2 minutes until golden.
  6. Assemble the burgers by placing a lettuce leaf on the bottom half of each bun, followed by the burger patty with melted cheese, sliced tomatoes, and pickles. Top with the other half of the bun.
  7. Serve immediately with your choice of side.
