Ingredients

  • Swiss chard - 200 grams, chopped
  • Ground beef - 250 grams
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Onion - 1 small, finely chopped
  • Egg - 1 large
  • Almond flour - 2 tablespoons
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Paprika - 1/2 teaspoon

Steps

  1. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and sauté the chopped onion and minced garlic until fragrant and translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
  2. Add the chopped Swiss chard to the skillet and cook until wilted, about 2-3 minutes. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.
  3. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, sautéed chard mixture, egg, almond flour, salt, black pepper, and paprika. Mix well until all ingredients are thoroughly combined.
  4. Form the mixture into 2 patties of equal size.
  5. In the same skillet, add a bit more olive oil if necessary and heat over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 5-6 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness.
  6. Once cooked, remove from heat and let the burgers rest for a couple of minutes before serving.
