Ingredients

  • Ground beef - 300 grams
  • Avocado - 2 ripe
  • Garlic powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Onion powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Smoked paprika - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Cheddar cheese - 50 grams, shredded
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Lettuce leaves - 4 large
  • Tomato - 1 medium, sliced
  • Pickles - 4 slices

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef with garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
  2. Form the mixture into two patties, about 1.5 cm thick.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the patties and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until they reach your desired doneness.
  4. During the last minute of cooking, sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese on top of the patties and cover the skillet to melt the cheese.
  5. While the patties are cooking, cut the avocados in half, remove the pit, and scoop out some flesh to create a bun-like shape.
  6. To assemble, place a lettuce leaf on the bottom half of each avocado, add a cheese-topped patty, a slice of tomato, and pickles, then cap with the other half of the avocado.
  7. Serve immediately and enjoy your Burguer de Abacate!
