Ingredients

  • Sweetened condensed milk - 200 ml
  • Unsweetened cocoa powder - 15 g
  • Unsalted kosher butter - 10 g
  • Chocolate sprinkles (kosher) - 50 g
  • Pinch of salt - 1 g

Steps

  1. In a medium saucepan, combine the sweetened condensed milk, unsweetened cocoa powder, unsalted kosher butter, and a pinch of salt.
  2. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly with a wooden spoon, until the mixture thickens and begins to pull away from the sides of the pan, about 10-15 minutes.
  3. Remove the pan from heat and let the mixture cool for a few minutes.
  4. Once cool enough to handle, grease your hands with a little butter and scoop small portions of the mixture to roll into balls, about 2.5 cm in diameter.
  5. Roll each ball in chocolate sprinkles until fully coated.
  6. Place the brigadeiros on a plate and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving.
