  • Guava paste - 150 grams
  • Powdered sugar - for dusting

Steps

  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a baking tray (approximately 30x20 cm) with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the melted butter and milk to the egg mixture, and mix until well combined.
  4. In another bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, folding gently until just combined.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared baking tray, smoothing it out evenly.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Remove the cake from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes, then carefully invert it onto a clean kitchen towel.
  9. Spread the guava paste evenly over the warm cake, leaving a small border around the edges.
  10. Using the towel, carefully roll the cake from one end to the other, creating a spiral shape.
  11. Once rolled, allow the cake to cool completely before dusting it with powdered sugar.
  12. Slice into pieces and serve for breakfast.
