- Baking powder - 5 grams
- Sugar - 100 grams
- Eggs - 1 large
- Milk - 60 ml
- Vegetable oil - 30 ml
- Vanilla extract - 5 ml
- Dark chocolate - 50 grams
- Heavy cream - 100 ml
- Powdered sugar - 20 grams
- Whipped cream - for topping
Steps
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
- In a bowl, mix the gluten-free all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and sugar.
- In another bowl, whisk the egg, milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract until combined.
- Combine the wet ingredients with the dry ingredients and mix until smooth.
- Pour the batter into a greased baking dish and bake for 25 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- While the cake is baking, prepare the chocolate ganache by melting dark chocolate in a heatproof bowl over simmering water.
- Once melted, stir in the heavy cream until smooth and set aside to cool.
- After the cake has cooled, cut it into small cubes.
- In a jar, layer the cake cubes, chocolate ganache, and whipped cream alternately until the jar is filled.
- Top with additional whipped cream and a sprinkle of cocoa powder, if desired.
