- Carrots - 200 grams, grated
- All-purpose flour - 100 grams
- Sugar - 100 grams
- Vegetable oil - 80 ml
- Eggs - 2 large
- Baking powder - 1 teaspoon
- Vanilla extract - 1 teaspoon
- Unsweetened cocoa powder - 30 grams
- Milk - 50 ml
Steps
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and grease a 20 cm round cake pan.
- In a blender, combine grated carrots, sugar, eggs, and vegetable oil. Blend until smooth.
- In a mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and vanilla extract. Gradually add the blended carrot mixture and mix until well combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and bake for 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- While the cake is baking, prepare the chocolate glaze by mixing cocoa powder, sugar, and milk in a saucepan over low heat until smooth and glossy.
- Once the cake has cooled slightly, pour the chocolate glaze over the top and let it set before slicing.
