Ingredients

  • Beef steak (e.g., sirloin) - 300 grams
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Garlic powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • All-purpose flour - 50 grams
  • Egg - 1 large
  • Breadcrumbs - 100 grams
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Tomato sauce - 200 grams
  • Mozzarella cheese, shredded - 100 grams
  • Parmesan cheese, grated - 30 grams
  • Fresh parsley, chopped - 1 tablespoon

Steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F).
  2. Season the beef steaks with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder on both sides.
  3. Dredge each steak in flour, shaking off the excess.
  4. Beat the egg in a shallow dish and dip the floured steaks into the egg, coating thoroughly.
  5. Coat the steaks in breadcrumbs, pressing gently to adhere.
  6. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Cook the breaded steaks for about 4 minutes on each side, until golden brown.
  7. Transfer the cooked steaks to a baking dish. Spoon the tomato sauce evenly over each steak.
  8. Sprinkle mozzarella and parmesan cheese on top of the sauce.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  10. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
