  • Vegetable broth - 400ml

  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black pepper - to taste

Steps

  1. Heat the olive oil in a medium saucepan over medium heat.
  2. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, sautéing until the onion is translucent.
  3. Stir in the rice, allowing it to toast for about 2 minutes.
  4. Pour in the cachaça and cook for another minute, stirring continuously.
  5. Add the vegetable broth, salt, and black pepper, bringing the mixture to a boil.
  6. Once boiling, reduce heat to low, cover the saucepan, and let it simmer for about 18-20 minutes or until the rice is cooked and the liquid is absorbed.
  7. Remove from heat and let it sit covered for 5 minutes.
  8. Fluff the rice with a fork, stir in the chopped parsley, and serve warm.
