Steps
- Rinse the basmati rice under cold water until the water runs clear, then set aside.
- In a medium saucepan, heat the olive oil over medium heat and add the chopped onion. Sauté until the onion is translucent, about 5 minutes.
- Add the minced garlic to the pan and sauté for an additional 1 minute until fragrant.
