- Ground turkey - 250 grams
- Whole wheat breadcrumbs - 30 grams
- Egg - 1 large
- Garlic powder - 1 teaspoon
- Onion powder - 1 teaspoon
- Paprika - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- BBQ sauce - 60 ml
- Lemon zest - 1 teaspoon
- Fresh parsley - 1 tablespoon, chopped
Steps
- Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F).
- In a large bowl, combine the ground turkey, whole wheat breadcrumbs, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, black pepper, and salt. Mix until just combined.
- Form the mixture into 16 small meatballs, about 3.5 cm in diameter, and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake the meatballs in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until they are cooked through and golden brown.
- While the meatballs are baking, prepare the zesty BBQ sauce by mixing the BBQ sauce, lemon zest, and chopped parsley in a small bowl.
- Once the meatballs are done, toss them in the zesty BBQ sauce before serving.
