Steps
- Rinse the wild rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
- In a medium saucepan, combine the rinsed wild rice with 1 1/2 cups (360 ml) of water and a pinch of salt. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat.
- Once boiling, reduce the heat to low, cover, and simmer for about 30 minutes, or until the wild rice is tender and the grains have burst open.
- Drain any excess water from the wild rice and return it to the saucepan.
