  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon (3g)
  • Butter, cold and cubed - 1/4 cup (60g)
  • Milk - 1/2 cup (120ml)
  • Virginia ham, diced - 100g
  • Cheddar cheese, shredded - 1/2 cup (60g)
  • Honey - 1 tablespoon (15g)

Steps

  1. Preheat your oven to 220°C (425°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the gluten-free flour, baking powder, and salt until well combined.
  3. Add the cold, cubed butter into the flour mixture and use a pastry cutter or your fingers to mix until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

  5. Fold in the diced Virginia ham and shredded cheddar cheese until evenly distributed.
  6. Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and gently pat it into a rectangle about 1 inch thick.
  7. Using a biscuit cutter or a glass, cut out the biscuits and place them on the prepared baking sheet.

  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the tops are golden brown.
