Ingredients
- jumbo pasta shells - 8 pieces
- ricotta cheese - 200 grams
- fresh spinach - 100 grams
- mozzarella cheese - 100 grams, shredded
- Parmesan cheese - 30 grams, grated
- egg - 1 large
- garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- dried oregano - 1/2 teaspoon
- marinara sauce - 300 grams
- olive oil - 1 tablespoon
Steps
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
- Cook the jumbo pasta shells in a large pot of salted boiling water for 8-10 minutes until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat, add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Add fresh spinach to the skillet and cook until wilted, about 2-3 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
- In a mixing bowl, combine ricotta cheese, half of the shredded mozzarella, Parmesan cheese, egg, sautéed spinach, salt, black pepper, and oregano. Mix well until combined.
- Fill each cooked pasta shell with the cheese and spinach mixture. Place the stuffed shells in a baking dish.
- Pour marinara sauce evenly over the stuffed shells and sprinkle the remaining mozzarella on top.
- Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
