Ingredients
- All-purpose flour - 250 grams
- Instant yeast - 7 grams
- Sugar - 10 grams
- Salt - 5 grams
- Warm water - 150 ml
- Olive oil - 30 ml
- Carrot - 50 grams, grated
- Zucchini - 50 grams, grated
- Bell pepper - 50 grams, finely chopped
- Green onion - 30 grams, chopped
- Garlic - 1 clove, minced
- Soy sauce - 15 ml
- Black pepper - 1 gram
Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, instant yeast, sugar, and salt. Mix well.
- Gradually add warm water and olive oil to the dry ingredients, stirring until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic.
- Place the dough in a lightly greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 30 minutes, or until it doubles in size.
- While the dough is rising, prepare the filling by heating a pan over medium heat and adding a splash of olive oil.
- Sauté the minced garlic for 1 minute, then add the grated carrot, zucchini, and chopped bell pepper. Cook for about 5 minutes until the vegetables are tender.
- Stir in the chopped green onion, soy sauce, and black pepper. Remove from heat and let the mixture cool.
- Once the dough has risen, punch it down and divide it into 4 equal pieces.
- Roll each piece into a circle, place a spoonful of the vegetable filling in the center, and fold the edges over to seal the bun.
- Place the filled buns on a parchment-lined baking tray and let them rise for an additional 15 minutes.
- Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
- Bake the buns in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.
