Ingredients

  • All-purpose flour - 250 grams
  • Instant yeast - 7 grams
  • Sugar - 10 grams
  • Salt - 5 grams
  • Warm water - 150 ml
  • Olive oil - 30 ml
  • Carrot - 50 grams, grated
  • Zucchini - 50 grams, grated
  • Bell pepper - 50 grams, finely chopped
  • Green onion - 30 grams, chopped
  • Garlic - 1 clove, minced
  • Soy sauce - 15 ml
  • Black pepper - 1 gram

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, instant yeast, sugar, and salt. Mix well.
  2. Gradually add warm water and olive oil to the dry ingredients, stirring until a dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic.
  4. Place the dough in a lightly greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 30 minutes, or until it doubles in size.
  5. While the dough is rising, prepare the filling by heating a pan over medium heat and adding a splash of olive oil.
  6. Sauté the minced garlic for 1 minute, then add the grated carrot, zucchini, and chopped bell pepper. Cook for about 5 minutes until the vegetables are tender.
  7. Stir in the chopped green onion, soy sauce, and black pepper. Remove from heat and let the mixture cool.
  8. Once the dough has risen, punch it down and divide it into 4 equal pieces.
  9. Roll each piece into a circle, place a spoonful of the vegetable filling in the center, and fold the edges over to seal the bun.
  10. Place the filled buns on a parchment-lined baking tray and let them rise for an additional 15 minutes.
  11. Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
  12. Bake the buns in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
  13. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.
