- Firm tofu - 200 grams, cubed
- Broccoli florets - 150 grams
- Bell pepper (any color) - 1 medium, sliced
- Carrot - 1 medium, julienned
- Snow peas - 100 grams
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
- Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
- Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon
- Cornstarch - 1 tablespoon
- Water - 50 ml
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
- Salt - to taste
- Black pepper - to taste
Steps
- Press the cubed tofu between paper towels to remove excess moisture for about 10 minutes.
- In a bowl, mix the soy sauce, sesame oil, cornstarch, and water to create the sesame sauce.
- Heat the olive oil in a large non-stick skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
- Add the tofu cubes to the skillet and fry until golden brown on all sides, about 6-8 minutes. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add minced garlic and grated ginger, sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add the broccoli, bell pepper, carrot, and snow peas to the skillet, stir-frying for about 5-7 minutes until the vegetables are tender-crisp.
- Return the tofu to the skillet, pour the sesame sauce over the stir-fry, and toss everything together to coat evenly. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
- Sprinkle with sesame seeds, season with salt and black pepper to taste, and serve hot.
