Ingredients

  • Firm tofu - 200 grams, cubed
  • Broccoli florets - 150 grams
  • Bell pepper (any color) - 1 medium, sliced
  • Carrot - 1 medium, julienned
  • Snow peas - 100 grams
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
  • Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon
  • Cornstarch - 1 tablespoon
  • Water - 50 ml
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black pepper - to taste

Steps

  1. Press the cubed tofu between paper towels to remove excess moisture for about 10 minutes.
  2. In a bowl, mix the soy sauce, sesame oil, cornstarch, and water to create the sesame sauce.
  3. Heat the olive oil in a large non-stick skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
  4. Add the tofu cubes to the skillet and fry until golden brown on all sides, about 6-8 minutes. Remove and set aside.
  5. In the same skillet, add minced garlic and grated ginger, sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  6. Add the broccoli, bell pepper, carrot, and snow peas to the skillet, stir-frying for about 5-7 minutes until the vegetables are tender-crisp.
  7. Return the tofu to the skillet, pour the sesame sauce over the stir-fry, and toss everything together to coat evenly. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  8. Sprinkle with sesame seeds, season with salt and black pepper to taste, and serve hot.
