- Soy sauce - 1 tablespoon
- Ground cumin - 1 teaspoon
- Smoked paprika - 1 teaspoon
- Garlic powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Corn tortillas - 4 pieces
- Red cabbage - 100 grams, shredded
- Cherry tomatoes - 100 grams, halved
- Avocado - 1 medium, sliced
- Fresh cilantro - 1/4 cup, chopped
- Lime - 1, cut into wedges
- Salt - to taste
- Pepper - to taste
Steps
- Press the tofu for 15 minutes to remove excess moisture, then cut it into small cubes.
- In a bowl, mix olive oil, soy sauce, ground cumin, smoked paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Add the tofu cubes to the marinade, ensuring they are well coated. Let them marinate for 10 minutes.
- Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and add the marinated tofu cubes. Cook for about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until golden and crispy.
- While the tofu cooks, prepare the toppings: shred the red cabbage, halve the cherry tomatoes, and slice the avocado.
- Warm the corn tortillas in a separate skillet for about 1-2 minutes on each side until pliable.
- Assemble the tacos by placing a portion of the cooked tofu in each tortilla and topping with shredded cabbage, cherry tomatoes, avocado slices, and chopped cilantro.
- Serve with lime wedges on the side for squeezing over the tacos.
