- Cashews (soaked) - 100 grams
- Nutritional yeast - 3 tablespoons
- Almond milk - 1/2 cup
- Garlic powder - 1 teaspoon
- Onion powder - 1 teaspoon
- Cayenne pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Salt - to taste
- Cherry tomatoes - 100 grams, halved
- Green onions - 2, chopped
- Black olives - 50 grams, sliced
- Fresh cilantro - for garnish
- Jalapeños - 1, sliced (optional)
Steps
- Preheat your oven to 220°C (425°F).
- Spread the frozen tater tots in a single layer on a baking sheet and bake according to package instructions until golden and crispy, about 20 minutes.
- While the tater tots are baking, prepare the vegan cheese sauce by blending soaked cashews, nutritional yeast, almond milk, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, and salt in a blender until smooth and creamy.
- Once the tater tots are done, remove them from the oven and drizzle the vegan cheese sauce over the top evenly.
- Add the halved cherry tomatoes, chopped green onions, sliced black olives, and jalapeños (if using) on top of the cheesy tater tots.
- Return the loaded tater tots to the oven for an additional 5 minutes to warm through.
- Remove from the oven, garnish with fresh cilantro, and serve immediately.
