Ingredients

  • Frozen tater tots - 400 grams
  • Cashews (soaked) - 100 grams
  • Nutritional yeast - 3 tablespoons
  • Almond milk - 1/2 cup
  • Garlic powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Onion powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Cayenne pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Salt - to taste
  • Cherry tomatoes - 100 grams, halved
  • Green onions - 2, chopped
  • Black olives - 50 grams, sliced
  • Fresh cilantro - for garnish
  • Jalapeños - 1, sliced (optional)

Steps

  1. Preheat your oven to 220°C (425°F).
  2. Spread the frozen tater tots in a single layer on a baking sheet and bake according to package instructions until golden and crispy, about 20 minutes.
  3. While the tater tots are baking, prepare the vegan cheese sauce by blending soaked cashews, nutritional yeast, almond milk, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, and salt in a blender until smooth and creamy.
  4. Once the tater tots are done, remove them from the oven and drizzle the vegan cheese sauce over the top evenly.
  5. Add the halved cherry tomatoes, chopped green onions, sliced black olives, and jalapeños (if using) on top of the cheesy tater tots.
  6. Return the loaded tater tots to the oven for an additional 5 minutes to warm through.
  7. Remove from the oven, garnish with fresh cilantro, and serve immediately.
