- Vegan butter - 50 grams
- Garlic - 4 cloves, minced
- Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
- Nutritional yeast - 2 tablespoons
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Red pepper flakes - 1/4 teaspoon (optional)
Steps
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente, about 8-10 minutes.
- While the pasta is cooking, melt the vegan butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for 2-3 minutes until fragrant and lightly golden, being careful not to burn it.
- Once the pasta is cooked, reserve 1/2 cup of the pasta water, then drain the spaghetti.
- Add the drained spaghetti to the skillet with the garlic butter, along with the reserved pasta water, lemon juice, nutritional yeast, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes if using.
- Toss everything together over low heat for 2-3 minutes until the pasta is well coated and heated through.
