  • Canned jackfruit (young, drained and shredded) - 100 grams
  • Green onions (finely chopped) - 2 tablespoons
  • Garlic powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Soy sauce - 1 tablespoon
  • Lemon juice - 1 teaspoon
  • Wonton wrappers - 10 pieces
  • Vegetable oil (for frying) - ½ cup
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black pepper - to taste

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the vegan cream cheese, shredded jackfruit, green onions, garlic powder, soy sauce, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
  2. Place a wonton wrapper on a clean surface and spoon about 1 tablespoon of the filling into the center.
  3. Moisten the edges of the wrapper with a little water, fold it in half to create a triangle, and press to seal. Repeat with remaining wrappers and filling.
  4. In a frying pan, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat until hot.
  5. Carefully add the filled wontons to the oil, frying in batches if necessary, for about 3-4 minutes on each side or until golden brown and crispy.
  6. Remove the fried wontons and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
  7. Serve warm with your choice of dipping sauce, such as sweet chili sauce or soy sauce.
