- Canned jackfruit (young, drained and shredded) - 100 grams
- Green onions (finely chopped) - 2 tablespoons
- Garlic powder - 1 teaspoon
- Soy sauce - 1 tablespoon
- Lemon juice - 1 teaspoon
- Wonton wrappers - 10 pieces
- Vegetable oil (for frying) - ½ cup
- Salt - to taste
- Black pepper - to taste
Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine the vegan cream cheese, shredded jackfruit, green onions, garlic powder, soy sauce, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Place a wonton wrapper on a clean surface and spoon about 1 tablespoon of the filling into the center.
- Moisten the edges of the wrapper with a little water, fold it in half to create a triangle, and press to seal. Repeat with remaining wrappers and filling.
- In a frying pan, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat until hot.
- Carefully add the filled wontons to the oil, frying in batches if necessary, for about 3-4 minutes on each side or until golden brown and crispy.
- Remove the fried wontons and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
- Serve warm with your choice of dipping sauce, such as sweet chili sauce or soy sauce.
