Ingredients

  • Cabbage, shredded - 300 grams
  • Wide egg-free noodles - 200 grams
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Onion, thinly sliced - 1 medium (about 150 grams)
  • Garlic, minced - 2 cloves
  • Vegetable broth - 120 ml
  • Soy sauce - 1 tablespoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt - to taste
  • Caraway seeds - 1 teaspoon
  • Fresh parsley, chopped - 2 tablespoons (for garnish)

Steps

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the wide egg-free noodles according to package instructions until al dente, usually about 7-9 minutes.
  2. While the noodles are cooking, heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  3. Add the sliced onion to the skillet and sauté for about 5-7 minutes until it becomes translucent and starts to caramelize.
  4. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for an additional 1 minute until fragrant.
  5. Add the shredded cabbage to the skillet, followed by the caraway seeds, salt, and black pepper. Sauté for about 8-10 minutes, until the cabbage is tender and slightly golden.
  6. Pour in the vegetable broth and soy sauce, stirring well to combine. Let it simmer for another 2-3 minutes.
  7. Once the noodles are cooked, drain them and add them to the skillet with the cabbage mixture. Toss everything together until the noodles are well coated.
  8. Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley.
