Ingredients

  • Greek yogurt - 1 cup (240g)
  • Cucumber - 1/2 medium (about 100g)
  • Garlic - 1 clove, minced
  • Fresh dill - 1 tablespoon, chopped
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Olive oil - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon

Steps

  1. Grate the cucumber using a box grater and place it in a clean kitchen towel or cheesecloth. Squeeze out excess moisture.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the Greek yogurt, grated cucumber, minced garlic, chopped fresh dill, lemon juice, olive oil, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Stir the mixture until all ingredients are well incorporated.
  4. Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary, adding more salt, pepper, or lemon juice as desired.
  5. Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.
  6. Serve chilled as a dip with pita bread or as a sauce for grilled meats.
