- Ground turkey - 400 grams
- Breadcrumbs (whole wheat) - 50 grams
- Egg - 1 large
- Onion (finely chopped) - 50 grams
- Garlic (minced) - 2 cloves
- Worcestershire sauce - 1 tablespoon
- Ketchup - 2 tablespoons
- Dried thyme - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Bell pepper (finely chopped) - 50 grams
- Carrot (grated) - 30 grams
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
Steps
- Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground turkey, breadcrumbs, egg, chopped onion, minced garlic, Worcestershire sauce, ketchup, thyme, salt, black pepper, bell pepper, and grated carrot.
- Mix all the ingredients together until well combined, being careful not to overmix.
- Transfer the mixture into a loaf pan, shaping it into a loaf form.
- Drizzle olive oil on top of the meatloaf for added moisture and flavor.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 74°C (165°F).
- Once cooked, remove from the oven and let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
- Serve warm, optionally with additional ketchup on the side.
