Ingredients

  • Ground turkey - 250 grams
  • Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Ginger - 1 teaspoon, minced
  • Carrot - 1 medium, shredded
  • Red bell pepper - 1 small, diced
  • Green onions - 2, chopped
  • Lettuce leaves (Butter or Romaine) - 6 large leaves
  • Chopped cilantro - 2 tablespoons
  • Lime - 1, cut into wedges

Steps

  1. In a large skillet, heat the sesame oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and ginger, sautéing until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  2. Add the ground turkey to the skillet, breaking it apart with a spatula. Cook until browned and cooked through, approximately 5-7 minutes.
  3. Stir in the soy sauce, shredded carrot, diced red bell pepper, and half of the chopped green onions. Cook for another 3-4 minutes until the vegetables are tender.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in the chopped cilantro.
  5. To serve, spoon the turkey mixture into the lettuce leaves, top with remaining green onions, and serve with lime wedges on the side.
