- Ground turkey - 250 grams
- Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Ginger - 1 teaspoon, minced
- Carrot - 1 medium, shredded
- Red bell pepper - 1 small, diced
- Green onions - 2, chopped
- Lettuce leaves (Butter or Romaine) - 6 large leaves
- Chopped cilantro - 2 tablespoons
- Lime - 1, cut into wedges
Steps
- In a large skillet, heat the sesame oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and ginger, sautéing until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Add the ground turkey to the skillet, breaking it apart with a spatula. Cook until browned and cooked through, approximately 5-7 minutes.
- Stir in the soy sauce, shredded carrot, diced red bell pepper, and half of the chopped green onions. Cook for another 3-4 minutes until the vegetables are tender.
- Remove from heat and stir in the chopped cilantro.
- To serve, spoon the turkey mixture into the lettuce leaves, top with remaining green onions, and serve with lime wedges on the side.
