Ingredients

  • Whole grain bread - 4 slices
  • Sliced turkey breast - 200 grams
  • Avocado - 1 medium, ripe
  • Lettuce leaves - 4 leaves
  • Tomato - 1 medium, sliced
  • Mayonnaise - 2 tablespoons
  • Mustard - 1 tablespoon
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black pepper - to taste

Steps

  1. Start by toasting the slices of whole grain bread until they are golden brown.
  2. While the bread is toasting, cut the avocado in half, remove the pit, and scoop the flesh into a bowl. Mash it gently with a fork and season with salt and black pepper to taste.
  3. Once the bread is toasted, spread 1 tablespoon of mayonnaise on two slices and 1/2 tablespoon of mustard on the other two slices.
  4. Layer the lettuce leaves on the mayonnaise side of the bread, followed by the sliced turkey breast.
  5. Add the sliced tomatoes on top of the turkey, and then spread the mashed avocado evenly on top of the tomatoes.
  6. Top with the remaining slices of bread, mustard side down, and press gently.
  7. Cut the sandwiches in half and serve immediately.
