- Whole grain bread - 4 slices
- Sliced turkey breast - 200 grams
- Avocado - 1 medium, ripe
- Lettuce leaves - 4 leaves
- Tomato - 1 medium, sliced
- Mayonnaise - 2 tablespoons
- Mustard - 1 tablespoon
- Salt - to taste
- Black pepper - to taste
Steps
- Start by toasting the slices of whole grain bread until they are golden brown.
- While the bread is toasting, cut the avocado in half, remove the pit, and scoop the flesh into a bowl. Mash it gently with a fork and season with salt and black pepper to taste.
- Once the bread is toasted, spread 1 tablespoon of mayonnaise on two slices and 1/2 tablespoon of mustard on the other two slices.
- Layer the lettuce leaves on the mayonnaise side of the bread, followed by the sliced turkey breast.
- Add the sliced tomatoes on top of the turkey, and then spread the mashed avocado evenly on top of the tomatoes.
- Top with the remaining slices of bread, mustard side down, and press gently.
- Cut the sandwiches in half and serve immediately.
