- Trout fillets - 250 grams
- Almond flour - 1/4 cup
- Egg - 1 large
- Garlic powder - 1 teaspoon
- Onion powder - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Avocado - 1 medium
- Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
- Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Romaine lettuce leaves - 4 large
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
Steps
- Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F).
- In a bowl, combine the almond flour, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
- In another bowl, beat the egg and add the trout fillets, mixing to coat the fish.
- Add the almond flour mixture to the trout and mix until well combined.
- Form the mixture into two patties and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Drizzle with olive oil and bake for 15-18 minutes, or until the trout is cooked through and golden.
- While the patties are baking, prepare the avocado sauce by mashing the avocado in a bowl and mixing in the lemon juice and chopped parsley.
- Once the trout patties are done, assemble the burgers by placing each patty on a romaine lettuce leaf and topping with the avocado sauce.
- Wrap the lettuce around the trout patty and serve immediately.
