Ingredients

  • Trout fillets - 250 grams
  • Almond flour - 1/4 cup
  • Egg - 1 large
  • Garlic powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Onion powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Avocado - 1 medium
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Romaine lettuce leaves - 4 large
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon

Steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F).
  2. In a bowl, combine the almond flour, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
  3. In another bowl, beat the egg and add the trout fillets, mixing to coat the fish.
  4. Add the almond flour mixture to the trout and mix until well combined.
  5. Form the mixture into two patties and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  6. Drizzle with olive oil and bake for 15-18 minutes, or until the trout is cooked through and golden.
  7. While the patties are baking, prepare the avocado sauce by mashing the avocado in a bowl and mixing in the lemon juice and chopped parsley.
  8. Once the trout patties are done, assemble the burgers by placing each patty on a romaine lettuce leaf and topping with the avocado sauce.
  9. Wrap the lettuce around the trout patty and serve immediately.
