- Vegetable broth - 500 ml
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Sugar - 1 teaspoon (optional)
- Heavy cream - 50 ml (optional for garnish)
Steps
- Heat olive oil in a medium saucepan over medium heat.
- Add chopped onion and sauté until translucent, about 5 minutes.
- Stir in minced garlic and cook for an additional 1 minute until fragrant.
- Add chopped fresh tomatoes, salt, black pepper, and sugar (if using) to the pot.
