  • Vegetable broth - 500 ml
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Sugar - 1 teaspoon (optional)
  • Heavy cream - 50 ml (optional for garnish)

Steps

  1. Heat olive oil in a medium saucepan over medium heat.
  2. Add chopped onion and sauté until translucent, about 5 minutes.
  3. Stir in minced garlic and cook for an additional 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Add chopped fresh tomatoes, salt, black pepper, and sugar (if using) to the pot.
