Ingredients
- Firm Tofu - 250 grams
- Bell Pepper (red) - 1 medium, sliced
- Broccoli florets - 150 grams
- Carrot - 1 medium, julienned
- Snow Peas - 100 grams
- Soy Sauce - 3 tablespoons
- Sesame Oil - 2 tablespoons
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Ginger - 1 teaspoon, minced
- Cornstarch - 1 tablespoon
- Vegetable Oil - 2 tablespoons
- Green Onions - 2, chopped
- Sesame Seeds - 1 tablespoon (optional)
Steps
- Press the tofu to remove excess moisture for about 15 minutes, then cut it into bite-sized cubes.
- In a bowl, toss the tofu cubes with cornstarch until evenly coated.
- Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat. Add the tofu and cook until golden brown on all sides, about 8-10 minutes. Remove the tofu from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of vegetable oil. Add garlic and ginger, sautéing for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add the sliced bell pepper, broccoli florets, carrot, and snow peas to the skillet. Stir-fry the vegetables for about 5-7 minutes until they are tender but still crisp.
- Return the tofu to the skillet and add soy sauce and sesame oil. Stir everything together and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until heated through.
- Serve hot, garnished with chopped green onions and sesame seeds if desired.
