Ingredients

  • Pork ribs - 500 grams
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Brown sugar - 1 tablespoon
  • Paprika - 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Onion powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Cayenne pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1 teaspoon
  • Apple cider vinegar - 2 tablespoons
  • Honey - 1 tablespoon
  • Low-sodium soy sauce - 1 tablespoon

Steps

  1. Preheat your grill or smoker to 120°C (250°F).
  2. In a small bowl, mix brown sugar, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper to create the dry rub.
  3. Rub the olive oil over the ribs, then generously apply the dry rub mixture on all sides of the ribs.
  4. Place the ribs on the grill or smoker, bone side down, and cook for about 2 hours, maintaining a consistent temperature.
  5. While the ribs are cooking, prepare the sauce by combining apple cider vinegar, honey, and low-sodium soy sauce in a small saucepan over medium heat. Stir until combined and simmer for 5 minutes.
  6. After 2 hours, brush the sauce over the ribs and cook for an additional 30 minutes, allowing the sauce to caramelize.
  7. Remove the ribs from the grill and let them rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
