  • Paprika - 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Onion powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Cayenne pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Apple cider vinegar - 60 ml
  • Water - 240 ml
  • BBQ sauce (gluten-free) - 120 ml

Steps

  1. Preheat your smoker or grill to 110°C (225°F).
  2. In a small bowl, mix together salt, black pepper, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne pepper to create a dry rub.
  3. Rub the spice mixture evenly over the brisket, ensuring all sides are coated.
  4. Place the brisket in the smoker or grill, fat side up, and cook for approximately 6 hours, maintaining a consistent temperature.
  5. After 6 hours, mix apple cider vinegar and water in a spray bottle and spritz the brisket every hour to keep it moist.
  6. When the internal temperature reaches 90°C (195°F), remove the brisket and wrap it tightly in aluminum foil.
  7. Let it rest for at least 30 minutes before slicing against the grain.
