- Salmon fillets - 2 (150g each)
- Soy sauce - 60ml
- Honey - 30ml
- Rice vinegar - 15ml
- Fresh ginger, grated - 1 teaspoon
- Garlic, minced - 1 clove
- Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
- Green onions, chopped - 2 tablespoons
- Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon
- Cooked brown rice - 200g (for serving)
- Steamed broccoli - 200g (for serving)
Steps
- In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, grated ginger, minced garlic, and sesame oil to create the teriyaki marinade.
- Place the salmon fillets in a shallow dish and pour half of the teriyaki marinade over them. Let them marinate for about 10 minutes.
- Preheat a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Remove the salmon from the marinade and place them skin-side down in the hot skillet.
- Cook the salmon for about 4-5 minutes on each side, basting with the remaining marinade during the last minute of cooking.
- Once cooked through and flaky, remove the salmon from the skillet and let it rest for a minute.
- Serve the teriyaki salmon over cooked brown rice, topped with chopped green onions and sesame seeds, alongside steamed broccoli.
