Ingredients

  • Chicken breast - 300 grams, cut into 2.5 cm cubes
  • Soy sauce - 60 ml
  • Honey - 30 grams
  • Rice vinegar - 15 ml
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
  • Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
  • Green onions - 2 stalks, chopped
  • Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon
  • Skewers - 4 (soaked in water for 30 minutes if wooden)

Steps

  1. In a bowl, combine soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, minced garlic, grated ginger, and sesame oil to create the marinade.
  2. Add the chicken cubes to the marinade, ensuring they are well-coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 15 minutes.
  3. Preheat the grill or grill pan over medium-high heat.
  4. Thread the marinated chicken onto the skewers, leaving a small gap between each piece.
  5. Grill the skewers for about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until the chicken is cooked through and has a nice char.
  6. During the last few minutes of grilling, brush the skewers with any remaining marinade.
  7. Remove from the grill and sprinkle with chopped green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
