- Cayenne pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Apple cider vinegar - 60 ml
- Tomato paste - 120 grams
- Honey - 2 tablespoons
- Worcestershire sauce - 1 tablespoon
- Mustard - 1 tablespoon
Steps
- Preheat your oven to 150°C (300°F).
- In a bowl, mix the brown sugar, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper to create a dry rub.
- Rub the mixture all over the pork ribs, ensuring they are evenly coated.
- Place the ribs on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil, cover tightly with foil, and bake in the preheated oven for 2.5 hours.
- While the ribs are baking, prepare the barbecue sauce by combining apple cider vinegar, tomato paste, honey, Worcestershire sauce, and mustard in a saucepan over medium heat.
- Bring the sauce to a simmer and cook for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally until it thickens slightly.
- After 2.5 hours, remove the ribs from the oven and increase the temperature to 220°C (425°F).
- Brush the ribs generously with the barbecue sauce and return them to the oven uncovered for an additional 30 minutes, basting with more sauce halfway through.
- Once done, remove from the oven and let rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
