Ingredients

  • Sweet potatoes - 400 grams
  • Eggs - 2 large
  • Brown sugar - 50 grams
  • Cinnamon - 1 teaspoon
  • Vanilla extract - 1 teaspoon
  • Butter - 30 grams, melted
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Flour - 30 grams
  • Chopped walnuts - 30 grams

Steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. Peel and chop the sweet potatoes into small cubes, then boil them in salted water for about 15 minutes until soft.
  3. Drain the sweet potatoes and mash them in a large bowl until smooth.
  4. Add the eggs, brown sugar, cinnamon, vanilla extract, melted butter, and salt to the mashed sweet potatoes and mix until well combined.
  5. Stir in the flour until the mixture is smooth and evenly mixed.
  6. Pour the mixture into a greased baking dish (approximately 20cm x 20cm).
  7. Sprinkle the chopped walnuts evenly on top of the kugel mixture.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  9. Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
