  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon (1 gram)
  • Carrot - 1 medium, grated
  • Dried cranberries - 2 tablespoons (30 grams)
  • Water - 120 ml

Steps

  1. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
  2. Add the sliced onion and sauté for about 5 minutes, until softened.
  3. Stir in the shredded cabbage and grated carrot, cooking for another 5 minutes until the cabbage begins to wilt.
  4. In a small bowl, mix together the apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, salt, and black pepper until the sugar dissolves.
  5. Pour the vinegar mixture over the cabbage and stir well to combine.
  6. Add the dried cranberries and water to the skillet, covering it with a lid.
  7. Reduce the heat to low and let it simmer for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the cabbage is tender.
  8. Remove the lid and cook for an additional 5 minutes to thicken the sauce slightly.
