- 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Steps
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
- Slice the tops off the bell peppers and remove the seeds and membranes.
- In a skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Add the ground turkey or chicken to the skillet and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Season with salt, pepper, onion powder, and Italian seasoning.
- Reduce the heat to low and mix in the cream cheese until fully incorporated. Stir in the mozzarella and Parmesan cheese until melted and combined.
- Stuff each bell pepper with the cheese and turkey mixture, pressing down gently to pack it in.
- Place the stuffed peppers upright in a baking dish and cover with foil.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes until the tops are golden and bubbly.
- Remove from the oven and let cool slightly. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
