  • 50 g shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 30 g grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. Slice the tops off the bell peppers and remove the seeds and membranes.
  3. In a skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Add the ground turkey or chicken to the skillet and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Season with salt, pepper, onion powder, and Italian seasoning.
  5. Reduce the heat to low and mix in the cream cheese until fully incorporated. Stir in the mozzarella and Parmesan cheese until melted and combined.
  6. Stuff each bell pepper with the cheese and turkey mixture, pressing down gently to pack it in.
  7. Place the stuffed peppers upright in a baking dish and cover with foil.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes until the tops are golden and bubbly.
  9. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
