- Large white mushrooms - 8 pieces
- Italian sausage (casings removed) - 200 grams
- Cream cheese - 100 grams
- Parmesan cheese (grated) - 30 grams
- Garlic (minced) - 1 clove
- Fresh parsley (chopped) - 2 tablespoons
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
Steps
- Preheat the oven to 190°C (375°F).
- Clean the mushrooms with a damp cloth and remove the stems, setting them aside.
- In a skillet over medium heat, add the olive oil and sauté the minced garlic until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Add the Italian sausage to the skillet, breaking it apart with a spoon, and cook until browned and fully cooked, about 5-7 minutes.
- Chop the reserved mushroom stems and add them to the skillet, cooking for an additional 2-3 minutes.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the cooked sausage mixture with cream cheese, grated Parmesan, chopped parsley, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Stuff each mushroom cap generously with the sausage and cheese mixture, packing it in firmly.
- Place the stuffed mushrooms on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the mushrooms are tender and the tops are golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving.
