Ingredients

  • Thick-cut bread (like brioche or challah) - 4 slices
  • Cream cheese - 100 grams
  • Mixed berries (fresh or frozen) - 100 grams
  • Powdered sugar - 2 tablespoons
  • Vanilla extract - 1 teaspoon
  • Eggs - 2 large
  • Milk - 120 ml
  • Cinnamon - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Butter - 30 grams

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, mixed berries, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and well blended.
  2. Take two slices of the thick-cut bread and spread the cream cheese mixture evenly on one slice. Top with the other slice to make a sandwich.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, and cinnamon until fully combined.
  4. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and add 15 grams of butter.
  5. Dip each stuffed sandwich into the egg mixture, ensuring both sides are well-coated.
  6. Place the coated sandwich in the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side or until golden brown.
  7. Add the remaining butter to the skillet if needed for the second sandwich.
  8. Once cooked, remove from the skillet and let cool slightly before slicing in half.
  9. Serve warm with a drizzle of maple syrup on top.
