Ingredients

  • Sirloin steak - 300 grams
  • Bell peppers (mixed colors) - 150 grams
  • Red onion - 100 grams
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Lime juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Cumin - 1 teaspoon
  • Chili powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Whole wheat tortillas - 4 pieces
  • Fresh cilantro (for garnish) - 10 grams

Steps

  1. Slice the sirloin steak into thin strips across the grain.
  2. In a bowl, mix olive oil, lime juice, garlic powder, cumin, chili powder, salt, and black pepper to create a marinade.
  3. Add the steak strips to the marinade, coating them well. Let them marinate for at least 10 minutes.
  4. While the steak is marinating, slice the bell peppers and red onion into thin strips.
  5. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add a tablespoon of olive oil.
  6. Once the oil is hot, add the marinated steak strips to the skillet and cook for 4-5 minutes until browned and cooked through.
  7. Remove the steak from the skillet and set aside. In the same skillet, add the remaining oil and the sliced bell peppers and onions.
  8. Sauté the vegetables for about 5-7 minutes until they are tender and slightly caramelized.
  9. Return the cooked steak to the skillet, mixing it with the sautéed vegetables. Cook for an additional minute to combine flavors.
  10. Warm the whole wheat tortillas in a separate pan or microwave.
  11. Serve the steak and vegetable mixture in the tortillas, garnished with fresh cilantro.
