  • Sriracha sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • mayonnaise - 2 tablespoons
  • green onion - 2 tablespoons, finely chopped
  • egg - 1 large
  • panko breadcrumbs - 1/4 cup
  • salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • olive oil - 2 tablespoons, for cooking
  • burger buns - 2, kosher
  • lettuce leaves - 2
  • tomato - 1, sliced
  • avocado - 1/2, sliced

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the drained tuna, Sriracha sauce, mayonnaise, chopped green onion, egg, panko breadcrumbs, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
  2. Divide the mixture into two equal portions and shape them into patties.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they are golden brown and cooked through.
  4. While the patties are cooking, slice the burger buns in half and toast them lightly if desired.
  5. Assemble the burgers by placing a lettuce leaf on the bottom half of each bun, followed by a tuna patty, slices of tomato, and avocado. Top with the other half of the bun.
  6. Serve the Sriracha Tuna Burgers immediately with your favorite side dish.
