Ingredients

  • Firm tofu - 300 grams
  • Sriracha sauce - 3 tablespoons
  • Soy sauce - 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Cornstarch - 2 tablespoons
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Burger buns - 2
  • Avocado - 1, sliced
  • Lettuce - 2 leaves
  • Tomato - 1, sliced
  • Red onion - 1/4, sliced
  • Salt - to taste
  • Pepper - to taste

Steps

  1. Press the tofu for 15 minutes to remove excess moisture, then cut it into 2 equal patties.
  2. In a bowl, mix Sriracha sauce, soy sauce, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Marinate the tofu patties in this mixture for 10 minutes.
  3. Coat the marinated tofu patties with cornstarch evenly on both sides.
  4. Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and cook the tofu patties for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and crispy.
  5. While the tofu is cooking, toast the burger buns in another skillet or oven until lightly golden.
  6. Assemble the burgers by placing a tofu patty on each bun, and topping with avocado slices, lettuce, tomato, and red onion.
  7. Serve immediately while hot.
