- Firm tofu - 300 grams
- Sriracha sauce - 3 tablespoons
- Soy sauce - 1 tablespoon
- Garlic powder - 1 teaspoon
- Cornstarch - 2 tablespoons
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- Burger buns - 2
- Avocado - 1, sliced
- Lettuce - 2 leaves
- Tomato - 1, sliced
- Red onion - 1/4, sliced
- Salt - to taste
- Pepper - to taste
Steps
- Press the tofu for 15 minutes to remove excess moisture, then cut it into 2 equal patties.
- In a bowl, mix Sriracha sauce, soy sauce, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Marinate the tofu patties in this mixture for 10 minutes.
- Coat the marinated tofu patties with cornstarch evenly on both sides.
- Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and cook the tofu patties for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and crispy.
- While the tofu is cooking, toast the burger buns in another skillet or oven until lightly golden.
- Assemble the burgers by placing a tofu patty on each bun, and topping with avocado slices, lettuce, tomato, and red onion.
- Serve immediately while hot.
