Ingredients

  • Pizza dough - 200 grams
  • Fresh spinach - 150 grams
  • Ricotta cheese - 200 grams
  • Mozzarella cheese - 100 grams, shredded
  • Parmesan cheese - 30 grams, grated
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Nutmeg - a pinch
  • Egg - 1 large

Steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 220°C (428°F).
  2. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and sauté minced garlic until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  3. Add fresh spinach to the skillet and cook until wilted, about 3-4 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  4. In a mixing bowl, combine ricotta cheese, half of the mozzarella cheese, grated Parmesan cheese, cooked spinach, salt, black pepper, nutmeg, and the egg. Mix well until fully combined.
  5. Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface to about 12 inches in diameter. Transfer it to a baking sheet or pizza stone.
  6. Spread the ricotta and spinach mixture evenly over the pizza dough, leaving a small border around the edges.
  7. Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella cheese on top of the spinach mixture.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly.
  9. Remove from the oven, let cool for a few minutes, slice, and serve warm.
