Ingredients

  • Frozen pie crust - 1 (9-inch)
  • Fresh spinach - 200 grams
  • Eggs - 3 large
  • Heavy cream - 120 ml
  • Grated Swiss cheese - 100 grams
  • Onion - 1 small, finely chopped
  • Garlic - 1 clove, minced
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Nutmeg - a pinch

Steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. In a skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and sauté until translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
  3. Add the minced garlic and fresh spinach to the skillet, cooking until the spinach wilts, about 2-3 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  4. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, heavy cream, salt, black pepper, and nutmeg.
  5. Stir in the sautéed spinach mixture and grated Swiss cheese until well combined.
  6. Place the frozen pie crust in a 9-inch pie dish and pour the spinach mixture into the crust.
